Someone’s got too much time!

Just a little goodie for all you Star Wars fans out there! There’s an ASCII animation available if you telnet to towel.blinkenlights.nl. Just open a terminal session / command prompt, whichever it is on your operating system and type the following:

Cool javascript library

Every once in a while, I find something so cool that I want to share it with someone. When this blog didn’t exist, I had to find an outlet somehow; Eric will be nodding when he reads this…

Now, I can simply blog about it, so here goes: Lightbox is a script that will show fullsize images in an overlay over the actual website when clicked. No more popup windows that might not open because of popup blockers.

The World is ever changing

Just to let you know that we didn’t die and went to heaven, here’s a quick update on what’s going on!

The need for speed

### Introduction

Yes, I’m actually gonna do it. Everyone’s done it, and everyone who hasn’t yet will, soon… Or not. By now, you’re probably wondering what the hell I’m talking about. I could be mean and only tell you when you click the “Read more”-link below…

We all know the drill. If you want someone to do something, there has to be an incentive.

The think tank idea

Here we are now. Distant-Help, the think tank. Now the question, what do we mean with think tank ? Let’s try to define what we propose and what you can expect.

People from all horizons will see your idea, think about it, maybe even go look around with you, and help you make something out of it. Every idea is an embryo of something, some will become big, others will be small (though small is beautiful) . Nevertheless, each and every idea needs a chance and this think tank is the place to drop it.

Downtime

Just a little quick note to say Murphy has been around again last night (European time).

This is what happened according DC : “The main power bar to the rack your server was in failed taking down the whole rack. We have now replace the bar and your server should be back online shortly.” [...]
