Server move

pffff about 2 weeks testing, tweaking and learning. Seems it was well worth it.
All our accounts have moved server with hardly any downtime, maybe a few secs..

Reason I wasn’t much here or on any other website I manage our visit. We moved to a quad dual core server with 4 gig Ram and I can tell you it is flashing fast.

The reason for all this long testing was a pretty jump :

apache 1.3.9 to apache 2.2
Mysql 4 to Mysql 5
PHP 5.2.4 to PHP 5.2.5

last one wasn’t a worry, I wasn’t to sure about mysql. Databases are tricky and some scripts aren’t to well written and a move like this can break easily something ,but so far so good. I didn’t see anything broken on the accounts I moved. If you ever see somthing, leave a little comment :-)

I still have to move accounts from the owner (just moved mine as test) and then migrate out super anti spam system over … for now we use standard spamassassin. And then I can finally relax and start being picky on the world again ;-)
