We learned today that birds in France are unable to migrate [ark] fast enough to keep up with their habitat. And the Arctic tundra is being invaded by trees [ark]. Humans too are animals with specific heat, moisture and food requirements. Where will we run as we lose our habitat?

Climate change — and the host of attendant ecological crises associated with too many humans consuming too many resources at the expense of life giving ecosystems — together will not be some minor irritant. Climate-mediated global ecological collapse [search] will be gut-wrenching biological murder as conditions where you live become unable to sustain life.

France : fuel is to expensive ? Take your bike says Christine Lagarde (Economy department)

True prices have taken hights never seen before. Why ? Speculation is the ONLY real answer. All the psycho reactions are just helping a few getting extremely rich and States.
The wars (who started them btw …) and those lovely experts telling us since mid ’70s that we won’t have crude anymore in x years. For sure the experts are paid by those gaining with such high prices.

In France you have to know we pay today near 1,30 Euro/liter for 95 Octane (Regular) and it is rising each day. For many people it is nearing a point we better stop going to work. I have about 80 km every day with my car. But most lovely of it all, price we pay is made for 80% taxes. Dear Ms. Lagarde says ‘we’ have to start thinking differently and she promises to go talk to the producers to lower their margins …. OUTRAGEOUS ! Sorry but can’t help it to scream now. The only one who has a real potential to lower prices is the one taking most profit and that’s the French goverment. How does she even dare to tell such stupidity ?

Yes I agree we all are responsible for the ecological disaster we are creating on our home world but alternative techniques exist since long like hydrogen combustion systems but NO ONE is interested in it, countries are so depending on the taxes on fuel they will not promote it. Imagine we turn down our consumption by half…. imagine debt levels ….
It is not only ‘we’ that have to think differently, for sure many of us are well aware of the major problem. But how are we going to ‘force’ our leaders to think differently. Not only help the big money, those that sponsored their election, and instead serve the ones that have elected them (if you can still talk about a democratic process … another debate).

Time to impose a new rule in laws, separation of politics and economics. Politicians are not allowed to receive a single penny from economical forces and are not allowed to return favors.

An elected politician is supposed to represent those who elected him and not the economical powers…. seems we are very far away from this….Similar Posts:

Sarkozy divorces versus raising his salary by 150 %

Ok, this is maybe just to hard on him. No one that ever divorced will tell he must be happy. But still, timing is pretty nice and some bad tongues are quick to make the link, French people will pay his divorce. Guess no one will ever know really. The move seeks to clarify the complicated, multi-sourced arrangement under which French Presidents have been paid. That’s the official statement.

We’ll see how people react, already France is subject to strikes and November might be a hot month for politics .Similar Posts:

Today I got my load of mails from several news sources with all the happy latest breaking news….

One article catched my eye and I took time to read it in more details then usual (you know read headlines and to next is what we have time for these days)

The United States once again needed more budget to ‘fund’ it’s war in Iraq. Total budget for fiscal year to fund operations in Afghanistan and Iraq would top 190 Billion $ (yes you read that right) pffff wow that’s quite some budget…. but worst was, this is next to the usual defense budget of 482 billion $ my jaw dropped to the floor…..

a little quick calculating gave me 672 billion / 365 days / 24 hours / 60 minutes / 60 secs = +/- 21000 $ a second …….

Just spend some more time on this, what do countries from the so called G8 spend ? I won’t link to each page I looked, Google around and you’ll find it easily like me. Figures are approximative

Canada : seems to spend 15 Bil
France : 60 B
Germany : 37,5 B
Italy : 30 B
Japan : 50 B
Russia : 40 B (though I doubt that is correct)
US : 672 B

That makes a grand total of +/- 900 Billion $ just to kill other people …

And in each and every country from this list people starve from hunger

shame on those that decide these spendings.
